ASI Celebrates 30 Years of Business
ASI (Associated Systems Inc.), a Greenville, S.C.-based IT firm that provides software solutions to utilities, recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. In business since 1981, ASI provides financial management, customer billing, and service order products and services to natural gas, water and electric utilities throughout the Southeast, ultimately reaching millions of utility consumers annually.
Rusty Pryor, President and Owner of ASI, says his company’s long-term success is due largely to a strategic decision made years ago to focus solely on utilities. “This specialization allows us to work extensively with each utility so that the company’s needs are fully understood and met,” Pryor says. “It’s definitely a partnership. We work hand in hand with each utility to get them the results that they need – oftentimes pushing beyond industry standards.
“This process creates a win/win/win situation for us, the utility and their customers,” Pryor continues. “Our goal is to always give our utility customers customized, innovative solutions so they can enhance their productivity, efficiency and customer service.”
Pryor also credits his staff for the company’s longevity.
“The expertise and knowledge of each individual in our company is crucial to our success,” Pryor says. “Our staff remains in a continuous learning process so they can stay abreast of the latest technological developments. This in turn means that our utility clients – and ultimately their customers -- receive the benefits of the latest technology and capabilities as well.” Pryor says that every ASI employee has a minimum of 10 years experience.
