Comprehensive Service Order System Features New Electronic Customer Notification

ASI’s Service Order System, called EasiServ, gives utilities tremendous flexibility to easily and effectively handle service order requests with on-demand service order creation.

This on-demand capability allows service orders to be created and printed out quickly or sent automatically to field personnel. Field personnel can send back data in real-time to help provide better customer service regarding questions, complaints or problems.

In addition, a new feature of the system allows customers to be contacted electronically – either via e-mails, text messages or phone calls – to let them know when a work order is completed.

Other benefits of ASI’s Service Order System include:

  • Complete service order history inquiry for all accounts including any open service orders
  • Ability to search service order history by location
  • Ability to create service orders based on pre-determined tasks or create service orders with free-format instructions
  • Enhanced cost tracking by capturing labor, inventory and equipment
  • Audit reporting/statistical analysis for field personnel completing work
  • Notification/reporting of past due service orders by department
  • Ability to automatically generate service orders from hand-held meter reading devices for skipped/missed reads or problem codes.

In addition to providing customizable reports, ASI’s Vehicle Maintenance System has the capability to interface with other software systems, allowing data to be exported for use in other applications. One popular interface is with the Accounts Payable system to pick vehicle costs done by outside vendors.
