Avoid Penalties, Become Red Flag Compliant
To help ensure the safety of your customers’ identities, ASI offers services and products that meet the requirements of the federal government’s Red Flag Rules. The Red Flag Rules state that to avoid penalties, companies must store and change customer social security numbers and bank draft information in an encrypted format.
ASI’s current software meets all these federal requirements. ASI also can help update current software to be sure the Red Flag requirements are met.
In addition, ASI can help implement a “3rd hook” to verify identity. A “3rd hook” is meant to stop someone that has illegally attained personal information such as a social security number. This process involves a question/answer used to verify the identification of the customer.
ASI can assist with further considerations as well, such as:
- Setting standards for passwords to make them stronger and implementing periodical password changes.
- Ensuring that “logging” is turned on for your system. This is an ASI tracking file that logs changes to personal information on a customer’s account.
